We outfitted this classic white vinyl-sided home with a complete package of matte black geometric window guards, featuring both flush-mounted panels and custom-fabricated projecting cages designed specifically to house window A/C units.
The Challenge & Solution
The homeowner faced a common dilemma: they needed to secure their ground-floor and accessible upper-level windows, but they also needed to keep their window air conditioners running. Standard "off-the-shelf" security bars render the window useless for A/C installation.
Our solution was to fabricate projecting "box-style" guards for the utility windows. These extend outward from the facade, creating a secure steel cage that creates ample room for the A/C unit to function while preventing it from being pushed in or removed by intruders. We matched these with flat, flush-mounted guards on the non-A/C windows to maintain a consistent architectural theme around the house.
