This Chelsea project focused on upgrading multiple exterior access points and openings with durable stainless steel solutions while keeping a clean, modern look. After an on-site measurement and condition check of the existing masonry and siding, we confirmed door swing directions, hardware positions, and clearances for closers and locks, then finalized shop drawings for fabrication. The installation included several custom stainless steel security doors with integrated grille patterns, designed to maintain airflow and visibility without sacrificing strength. We also produced matching stainless steel window guards to secure lower-level windows, aligning spacing and frame proportions so the overall façade felt consistent across different elevations. For weather protection at key entrances, we added stainless steel canopy systems, with selected visible trim sections finished in powder coated black to better match the building’s exterior accents and reduce glare. Once installed, all doors and guards were checked for alignment, smooth operation, latch engagement, and clean edge finishing, followed by final sealing and surface cleanup to complete a cohesive, long-lasting exterior upgrade suited for busy New York residential use.
