For this Chelsea residential driveway, the homeowner wanted a clean, modern gate that would match the home’s minimalist exterior while improving privacy and security without making the entrance feel “closed off.” We completed an on-site measurement of the driveway opening, confirmed the hinge-side clearances and slope tolerance, then customized a double-swing stainless steel gate with a horizontal slat infill for a sharp architectural look. Because the finish is not raw stainless color, the full gate set was powder coated in a matte black tone for a consistent, premium appearance and better durability in outdoor conditions. After fabrication, the installation team anchored the posts to the existing masonry/footing, set the hinges and center meeting line, adjusted the swing alignment, and fine-tuned the latch so both panels close smoothly and sit level. The final result is a sturdy, low-maintenance driveway gate that blends perfectly with the modern facade and delivers strong privacy from the street.
