Powder-Coated Stainless Steel & Glass Railing System for Rooftop Terrace + Stairwell Upgrade
This project was a full safety-and-style upgrade for a NYC-area home, covering both the rooftop terrace perimeter and the interior stairwell/landing areas. The client wanted clear views, a clean modern look, and code-ready protection for daily use. We started by confirming on-site dimensions and anchor positions, then finalized the glass panel layout and post spacing to match the existing structure. Because the visible metal finish is not stainless “raw” color, the railings were specified as powder coated stainless steel to achieve a durable, uniform dark finish while keeping the strength and corrosion resistance of stainless. After fabrication, the installation team set the base mounts, aligned the posts, installed tempered glass panels, and completed final leveling and edge-gap checks. The finished result provides a sleek, secure barrier on the rooftop deck and a bright, open feel inside the stair area—strong wind resistance, minimal visual obstruction, and a premium modern aesthetic suited for New York homes.
