Custom Stainless Steel Pedestrian Gate & Matching Fence Upgrade (Polished Finish + Gold Powder Coated Accents)
This project was a full front-entry refresh for a NYC rowhouse, replacing an older, mismatched gate/fence with a cleaner and more secure stainless steel system that still feels decorative. After an on-site check of the existing brick columns, sidewalk slope, and opening width, we confirmed the swing direction, latch position, and clearances so the gate could open smoothly without scraping. The client chose an arched-top design with ornamental panels to match the neighborhood’s classic look, so we fabricated a polished stainless steel frame and picket infill, then added decorative details finished in powder coated gold accents where the design required non-original stainless color. Installation included setting the posts and hinges perfectly plumb, anchoring into masonry/concrete, aligning the lockset for a tight close, and finishing with final polishing, touch-up, and swing/lock testing before handover.
